SUMMARY

This study was conducted at farmer households and farms in Trang Bang district, Tay Ninh province from March 2014 to October 2016 to determine the productivity of some crossbred beef cattles. The subjects were 90 F1 crossbreds by artificial insemination between Red Angus, Red Brahman and Red Sindhi cows with Sind hybrid cows, including 30 Red Angus F1 cows, 30 Red F1 cows. Brahman and 30 Sindhi crossbreds. The condition of livestock production in farmer households and farms in the current husbandry mode with two levels of feeding: Good feeding level: Diets response to >= 95% of nutrional requirement; average feeding level: Diets Response to 85-95% of nutrional requirement (nutritional requirement by Ranijhan 1997 and NRC 1989).

The results showed that F1 Red Angus and F1 Red Brahman F1 have good growth in feeding and climatic conditions in Tay Ninh. Physiological parameters are within physiological range; low rate of tick infection; high survival rate of calves; body weight, weight gain through age stages is higher than Sindhi cross. Weight of F1 crossbred cattle at 12 months of age at good feeding level: F1 Red Angus was highest and reached 250.93 kg; next F1 Red Brahman 193.50 kg; the lowest is the Sind hybrid: 166.92 kg; At the average feeding level of F1 Red Angus, F1 Red Brahman and Sind hybrid were: 236.88 kg; 182.68 kg and 158.84 kg. The average male and female weight gain of crossbred cattle from birth to 12 months at good feeding level ranged from 423.82 to 638.47g/head/day, and at average feeding level ranged from 403.91 to 423.82g to 602.05g/head/day. The highest gain was F1 Red Angus crossbred, next F1 Red Brahman crossbred, and Sind crossed.
